For the past twenty years, the mass meetings for Italian book-lovers have been the Festival della Letteratura in Mantua (September) and the Salone del Libro in Turin (May). Starting from 2017 this balance has been tilted by the great Milanese publishers, which built a war machine, meant to impose their festival as the indisputable leader in the industry.
.:. They haven't succeeded completely, however, and this second edition does not feature big names - like Grossmann, Welsh, or Yehoshua... as the first one did. No great writers from abroad, a part for Élise Thiébaut.
.:. The exhibition grounds have changed, too. No longer FieraMilano, where really big events are held. Simply the old location, or what's left of it, close to the CityLife district.
