.:. art / drawings in the villa
april 10 through may 9 2010
April 14-18 till 10am
Last year the FAI
(Fondo Ambiente Italiano) asked prominent Italian architects to donate some of their drawings for an auction to raise conservation funds. It worked, and this year it's designers' time. Four hundred and sixty drawings were collected.
The volatile collection is exhibited at the FAI flagship premises in Milan, i.e. Villa Necchi Campiglio, and it's definitely worth seeing before the Sotheby's auction on May 13. All of the big names in the Milan design world are practically represented, in a small-size feast of colors, techniques, objects, and ideas.
150 drawings are displayed at Villa Necchi Campiglio. The remaining 310 can be seen April 14 through 19 at Triennale Bovisa
. Free entrance here too, from 11am till 9pm.
