The fame of Piero Manzoni (Soncino, Lombardy, 1933 - Milano, 1963) is inevitably linked to his controversial Artist's Shits cans, posthumously exhibited in 1971 at the Modern Art Gallery in Rome. Manzoni, however, was indeed an early genius, a precocious and almost Pataphysical artist, the scion of a country that was incredibly growing, and was about to give birth to the Arte Povera. This little exhibition does justice, and amuses.
