Two generations of artists formed in Chicago between the 1950s and the 1960s {pictured, © John Bohannan. Courtesy Jim Nutt) are currently being considered at the Fondazione Prada as another of their
enquiry cases in contemporary art history. There happened to be times and places in fact, the artwork of which was not acknowledged by critics at the moment, but have proved to
influence later generations just the same.

Leon Golub,
H. C. Westermann and
Famous Artists from Chicago. 1965-1975 itself - are occupying the Podium area of the Prada exhibition centre, in a show where political commitment, figurative narratives and radical graphics strike visitors' feelings. It is not difficult to understand why this sorts of art were rejected by mainstream New York culture.
