ArteFiera shares the leading role among contemporary art fairs in Italy with Artissima (in Turin, November) and MiArt (in Milan, April). One hundred fifty art dealers from Europe, America and Asia take part in this 42nd edition, with a special section on Modernity which includes works by Joan Jonas, Giosetta Fioroni, and Emilio Isgrò.
.:. Several side events have been programmed in town. The Polis project deals with movie shows at the Mambo museum as well as works by artists like Acconci, Berruti, Cavaliere, Oppenheim, and Veronesi exhibited c/o local art galleries. The Art City project includes shows (pictured), site specific installations and exhibitions - at the ex GAM, the Esprit Nouveau Pavillion, the Palazzo Re Enzo and the Archiginnasio, among others.
