Streets, squares and palazzi of the Renaissance town of Mantua are flooded once again by readers and writers, with international guests - such as Elif Batuman, Robert Darnton, György Dragomán, Richard Flanagan, Eduardo Mendoza, Evgeny Morozov, John Niven, Andrew O'Hagan, Patrik Ouředník, Géza Szőcs, Minh Tran Huy, Yanis Varoufakis and Gary Younge - among Italian authors during Festivaletteratura, now being held for the 22nd time. Readings, lectures and meetings are all part of the event, along with exhibitions, concerts and theatre.
.:. Since the festival got very popular, is highly recommended to book in advance for the selected events (several are free) through the festival's website.
