november 12 2010 through march 21 2011
Wed-Mon 10am-6pm, closed public holidays

slideshow .:. Five centuries after the death of Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, a Florentine Renaissance artist better known as Sandro Botticelli (c. 1445-1510), the Poldi Pezzoli Museum is exhibiting a collection of his works which are now kept in Lombardy. The Poldi Pezoli itself owns three outstanding paintings by Botticelli. Other are here on temporary loan from the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo and the Ambrosiana in Milan.
.:. To admire Botticelli's most famous works, like the Birth of Venus and Primavera, you have to go to the Uffizi in Florence. But this is a unique opportunity, and the exhibition's settings are beautiful.
