ADI Design Museum
.:. The Compasso d’Oro ("Golden Compass") award was the first institutional recognition in the field of industrial design ever presented in the world. It was established in Milan after an intuition by Gio Ponti, the great architect and designer, in 1954.
.:. The Compasso d’Oro historical collection has been open to the public since May 25, 2021. It's displayed in a purposefully revamped building, providing a proper museum for the history of the "made in Italy" design.
.:. Temporary exhibitions regularly complement the permanent ones, which include "The spoon and the city", "Career Manifesto. A tribute by Italian graphic designers to the Masters of the Compasso d’Oro", and "Compasso d’Oro, spanning the world".
