In order to fight any further diffusion of COVID-19, people are advised to be very cautious when meeting others, even outdoor. A distance of a meter or so must be kept - and a face mask (better if surgical) worn - in case of any personal encounters.
.:. Milan and Lombardy are still at risk, though bars, restaurants, shops and even museums began reopening from June 3. Schools started again on September 14. Finger crossed.

Like many other European cities, Milan has a public service of bike sharing as well, trying to decrease traffic and pollution.
.:. Tourists and visitors can choose a weekly or daily pass and register their account by using an online form at the BikeMi website, including the credit card number. With your code and the password you can get to any of the over two hundred stations and follow the instructions on the display.
.:. Take your bike, ride it for no more than two consecutive hours and then put the bike in any other BikeMi station.
.:. Electric or booster bikes are available, as is a Junior BikeMi service for kids under the age of 16, under different fare rules.
.:. Another bike sharing service - even more manageable, being free flow -- has been made available more recently: please check the Mobike website.
