de Chirico
September 25, 2019 through January 19, 2020
You may love him or hate him, the same as you would do for the 1930s. As a matter of fact, Giorgio de Chirico (Volos, Greece, 1888-Rome, 1978) changed the history of Italian art and influenced the European one. His metaphysical painting was highly considered by masters like René Magritte, Max Ernst or Salvador Dalì.
.:. The exhibition is certainly a major one, providing the opportunity to take a stance about de Chirico without prejudice. Works on display are on loan from leading museums in New York, London, Paris, Houston, Venice, Rovereto, Rome and - of course - Milano.
