90º Gran Premio d’Italia
September 6 through 8, 2019

For Formula 1 enthusiasts it is a not-to-be-missed rendez-vouz, an outdoor happening to attend with friends, bringing - why-not? - a picnic. Striving for the Grand Prix at this 90th Gran Premio d'Italia will be some twenty cars from world renowned teams like Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull.
.:. The race-course itself is a monument to engineering - it was established in the 1920s - though its location in the middle of a park is a permanent source of controversy. Monza very often sees the highest speeds of the Formula 1 season. It was the scene of the fastest ever pole position lap by an F1 car, set in 2018 by Kimi Räikkönen on a Ferrari, when he lapped in 1:19.119, at an average speed of 263.587 km/h.
.:. While September 6 and 7 are for the practices, the proper event is scheduled for Sunday 8. Online tickets from the circuit website.
.:. The track is located some 20 km from the center of Milan (trains to Monza or underground to Sesto FS + local buses).
