Started off quietly dozens of year ago, and later patronised by the Milan City Council, the Milano Film Festival celebrates its 24th edition. A plethora of films and shorts, with an eye to the emerging themes on the research scene, focus on the city of Milan itself this year.
.:. The prejudice that Milan is not a city for films is certainly false. "Design, fashion, music, theatre...", says Gabriele Salvatores, an Academy Award winner who directs the festival: "Milan is a crossroads of mainly very young professionals who have the chance here to meet and find fertile soil to grow."
