The "Orchestra from the Sea", playing instruments entirely made from the wood of migrant small boats, features cellists Giovanni Sollima and Mario Brunello plus violinist Gilles Apap, along with the Accademia dell'Annunciata. The program includes music by Bach, Volans, Vivaldi, Kreisler, and Sollima. The scenography has been created by Mimmo Paladino.
.:. The instruments were produced by inmates from the State prison in Opera, Milan, and the evening is meant to think about the contemporary drama experienced by millions of people fleeing war and poverty in recent years. Reservations are available at VivaTicket.
.:. A text specially written and read by Paolo Rumiz acts as an ouverture.
