Cinema Godard’s mission is to investigate the visual languages of the present and the past, crossing a plurality of territories, cultures, and film genres. The monthly program, curated by Paolo Moretti, includes numerous screenings and meetings open to the public.
.:. #Anteprima shows films before their release in Italian theaters. Being shown this month are Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest and Wim Wenders’ Anselm. #Soggettiva allows the public to immerse themselves in the fascinating and eclectic work of the Spanish director and screenwriter Álex de la Iglesia. #Supernova returns with the screening of The Nature of Love by Monia Chokri.
.:. #Queerelle explores contemporary queer cinema in collaboration with MiX Festival. To be shown is Juliana Curi’s Uýra: The Rising Forest. #Sonic presents Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis), Anton Corbijn’s new film. #Classici rediscovers, in their restored versions, four films that have left their stamp on the collective imagination, and #Selezione brings together some of the most interesting works of the current film season, such as Alice Rohrwacher’s La chimera, Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron, Aki Kaurismäki’s Fallen Leaves, and Poor Things by Yorgos Lanthimos.
