The Virtuosi of the Teatro alla Scala and the soprano Chiara Isotton, conducted by Massimiliano Caldi, perform chamber compositions and songs by Giacomo Puccini a century after his death. The program includes A te, String Quartet in D Major, Storiella d’amore, Sogno d'or, Casa mia, casa mia, Avanti Urania!, 3 Minuetti for String Quartet, Terra e mare, Canto d’anime, E l’uccellino, I Crisantemi for String Quartet, Sole e amore, Inno a Diana, and Morire?
.:. The reasons to attend are both cultural and humanitarian, as the concert is intended to raise funds in support of the VIDAS association, whose acronym means Italian Home Volunteers for Assistance to the Suffering, established in Milan in 1982.
.:. VIDAS guarantees free and qualified social and palliative care, both at home and in hospice, to over two thousand terminal people and their families every year.
