“Oh Bei! Oh Bei!”
Thursday, December 5 through Sunday, December 8, 2024
December 7th is a special date in Milan, the day of its Patron Saint, the energetic bishop Ambrogio. The popular event related to December 7th is the centuries-old open-air market where the feast day of Saint Ambrose is celebrated around the Sforza Castle.
.:. Called “Oh Bei! Oh Bei!” from the cries stall-holders used in bygone days to attract customers, the market offers mainly bric-à-brac items and candies. Very lively and crowded, it is held from dawn to dusk.
