Salone del Mobile
April 8 through 13, 2025

Every year Milan, the world capital of design, hosts the Salone del Mobile, an international fair on home furnishings attended by some 2,000 exhibitors and 650 young designers, who come from around the world to display the latest trends in the furniture industry.
.:. The 2025 edition of the Salone, the 63rd, is held in the Fiera district at Rho-Pero, Though traditionally reserved to trade people, the fair is open to the general public on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13, and you can visit every day the SaloneSatellite (entrance is free), a breeding ground for selected young designers.
.:. Special projects are held at the Fiera, designed by stars like film director Paolo Sorrentino or interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon (pictured), and at the Sforza Castle, care of the theater master Robert Wilson.
.:. During the Design Week, however, the whole city is a sort of non-stop event. Several districts, like Brera, the Università Statale or Porta Venezia, and cultural centers like BASE, host intriguing exhibitions. Day by day information about the number of special events taking place in showrooms and stores around town are provided by trade magazines like Interni. Also visit the Fuorisalone and Archiproducts guides.
