Paintings by Beato Angelico, Piero della Francesca, Piero del Pollaiolo, Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio, Caravaggio and a small violin have been analyzed with methodologies like X-ray, infrared, ultraviolet, hyperspectral imaging and spectroscopy to unveil their stories.
.:. In other words, technologies derived from medical diagnostics reveal elements invisible to the human eye: preparatory drawings, pentimenti, materials and painting techniques, contributing to the knowledge, conservation and enhancement of the artistic heritage.
