.:. art / as a total experience
Converging trajectories
January 28 through March 28, 2026
Blending in a single gallery at the same time works by Ettore Spalletti (1940–2019), Gino De Dominicis (1947–1998) and Franz West (1947–2012) sounds strange. Their languages are indubitably different: light-coloured surfaces, mysterious metaphysics and physical sculpture-objects don't mix.
.:. Are you sure? They do, instead, if the gallery that represents their work on the market is able to set some of their artworks credibly in three white rooms, and even provide a justification for the purpose. The three "shared a vision of art as a space of total experience, where form, matter, and thought merge into an indivisible unity" and, after all, they happened to meet in Pescara some times, the Italian town where the organizing gallery is based.
.:. Spalletti's works play certainly a major role, here. But a thin pointed tube by De Dominicis hanging from the ceiling and a video showing West producing a sculpture (exhibited) complete the magic. Entering the gallery is like visiting three rooms in a very good museum of contemporary art.
