With some 60,000 runners from dozens of countries, Stramilano ranks among the most important international events in the field. The Stramilano 10 KM starts from Piazza del Duomo at 10am, as does the Stramilanina 5 KM at 10:30am. Both these non competitive runs end at the Arco della Pace.
.:. The proper Half Marathon starts from Piazza Castello, instead, at 8:30am. It's a competitive race over 21,097 km, on a circle track.
.:. On the occasion of the Stramilano, the Duomo subway stop is closed, many tram and bus lines are diverted, and several street are closed to traffic.
