.:. Since time immemorial the Salone del Mobile, the Milan international fair on home
furnishings, has been displaying the latest tendencies in the furniture industry every April. Thousands of exhibitors and hundreds of young designers from around the world have invariably been attending. This year however, due to the pandemic, moving to September looked a better choice, hence the Supersalone.
.:. The 2021 Salone is held in the new Fiera at Rho-Pero and is complemented by exhibitors from the traditioanl International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Euroluce, and Workplace3.0.
.:. The fair was usually reserved to trade people, with only
The lost graduation show, a breeding ground for selected young designers which used to be the SaloneSatellite, open to visitors every day. This year, instead, everything is always open to every ticket holder.
.:. On the other hand, the whole city is a sort of non-stop fair during the so-called
Design Week. Day by day information about the number of events taking place in showrooms and stores around town are provided by trade magazines like
Interni. The
Fuorisalone guide is a precious information source, too.
.:. Pictures of the previous editions - the Fuorisalone included - can be found among the CiaoMilano
Flickr albums.
