one picture only .:. An important show-cum-sale, MiArt is held in Milan's city trade quarter with an eye to making the general public more familiar with modern and contemporary art. The event, in which some hundred fifty Italian and foreign galleries are taking part, is complemented by Talks, conferences, meetings, and a series of more events around town - the Art Week, with several galleries open till late - which take place from Tuesday, April 11 till Sunday, April 16.
.:. There are an Established section for particularly trusted galleries, and an Emergent one for cutting edge professionals, plus Decades, retracing the recent art history in Italy.
.:. MiArt shares the leading role among contemporary art fairs in Italy with Artissima (in Turin, November) and Arte Fiera (in Bologna, January-February).
