no slideshow .:. A quite important show-cum-sale, MiArt is held in Milan's city trade quarter with an eye to making the general public more familiar with modern and contemporary art. (Images from the 2023 edition are available at the CiaoMilano Flickr webpages.) The event, in which some hundred eighty Italian and foreign galleries take part, is complemented by talks, conferences, meetings, and a series of more events around town - the Art Week - with several galleries open till late from Tuesday, April 9 till Sunday, April 14.

The MiArt 2024 edition, which is entitled no time no space, has the backbone of the main Established section based on Italian galleries, while the Emergent section also gathers international galleries introducing the most recent generations of artists, and a new Portal section discovers intriguing practices that only apparently come from far away and distant times.
.:. MiArt shares the leading role among contemporary art fairs in Italy with Artissima (in Turin, November) and Arte Fiera (in Bologna, January-February).
