one picture only .:. War can be pictured on the field. That's what most war photojournalists do. Turchenkova (Moscow, 1987) shows what happens at home.
.:. She stopped going back to her Russia after being awarded the Deloitte Photo Grant 2026. The relevant report, currently on show at the Triennale, documents that Russians no longer talk each other about what's going on. Even when travelling the Trans-Siberian, when they have to share the same car for days, they prefer to sleep.
.:. It's a brilliant exhibition, but a definitely dramatic one.
