Festivaletteratura
September 8 through 12, 2021

Streets, squares and palazzi of the Renaissance town of Mantua are populated once again by readers and writers, with international guests - such as Mariana Enriquez, Aleksej Ivanov, Fouad Laroui, Benjamin Labatut, Colum McCann, Santiago Roncagliolo, Bernhard Schlink, Rebecca Solnit, and Alice Walker - among Italian authors (Marco Bechis, Giuseppe Culicchia, Carlo Lucarelli and Antonio Scurati among them) during Festivaletteratura, now being held for the 25th time. Readings, lectures and meetings are all part of the event, along with exhibitions, concerts and theatre.
.:. Since the festival got very popular, booking in advance for the selected events through the festival's website is mandatory.
.:. Some pictures from the 2014 edition are at the CiaoMilano Facebook page.
.:. It takes about two hours by train from Milan (a dozen daily direct trains).
