The Turin International Book Fair is celebrating its 37th edition. The focus this year is on Le parole tra noi leggere (literally "Light Words between Us"), after a successful novel by Lalla Romano published in 1969.

Writer and playwright Yasmina Reza is in charge of the inaugural lecture, followed by an international guest list that includes American novelist Tracy Chevalier, French journalist Victoire Tuaillon, the Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri, Joël Dicker from Switerland, the International Booker Prize winner Georgi Gospodinov (keynote speaker of the 25th anniversary of L’Autore Invisibile, a professional program on translation), Israeli writer Etgar Keret, French novelist Valérie Perrin, the Akutagawa Prize winner Rie Qudan, Japanese philosopher Saito Kōhei, Palestinian writer Adiana Shibli, and Scott Turow, famous for Presumed Innocent.
.:. Guest country of the 2025 edition are the Netherlands, with authors from the Dutch language area covering the Netherlands, Flanders, Suriname and the Caribbean territories linked to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
.:. As for Italy, the idea of lightness is also embodied by tv stars like Luciana Littizzetto (curator), Mara Venier and Fabio Fazio.
