The international fair of contemporary art is now being held in Turin for the thirty-second time. Nearly one hundred and fifty galleries meet up here, plus publishers, institutions, art lovers and collectors, to give and have a global look on today production.
.:. In addition to the fair as such (Main Section, Monologue/Dialogue, New Entries, Art Spaces & Editions), Artissima also includes three curated sections, headed by a board of international curators and museum directors, devoted to emerging artists (Present Future), a rediscovery of the pioneers of contemporary art (Back To The Future) and drawing (Disegni). Artissima also welcomes some special projects this year, anonymous art (pictured) promoting Japanese contemporary art among them.
.:. Some interlinked group shows can be visited in town, for instance at the Gallerie d'Italia, the Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the Castello di Rivoli, the GAM (Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art), the Merz and the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundations.
