Every year Milan, the world capital of design, hosts the Salone del Mobile, an international fair on home furnishings attended by some 2,000 exhibitors and 650 young designers, who come from around the world to display the latest trends in the furniture industry. The #salonedelmobile2023 is back to its usual month this year, after the pandemic compelled to postpone to September in 2021 and to June in 2022.
.:. The 2023 edition of the Salone, the 61st, is held in the Fiera district at Rho-Pero, and is complemented by Euroluce. Find lots of pictures through the links hereunder.
.:. Though the fair is traditionally reserved to trade people, it is open to the general public on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23, and you can visit every day the SaloneSatellite (entrance is free), a breeding ground for selected young designers.
.:. During the "Design Week", however, the whole city is a sort of non-stop event. Several districts, like Brera, the Università Statale or Via Maroncelli, and cultural centers like BASE, host intriguing exhibitions. Day by day information about the number of special events taking place in showrooms and stores around town are provided by trade magazines like Interni.
