Cinema Godard testifies to the diversity and complexity of the contemporary film scene, offering a rich calendar of screenings and meetings with prominent figures of Italian and international cinema. The monthly program, curated by Paolo Moretti, follows different directions conceived as sections of an extended festival in constant evolution.
.:. #Soggettiva investigates the work of Italian record producer and composer Giorgio Moroder, winner of three Oscars, four Golden Globes, a David di Donatello and four Grammy Awards for unforgettable cult film soundtracks. #Preview reveals the film Four Daughters by Kaouther Ben Hania. #Queerelle explores contemporary queer cinema with Woman of... by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michal Englert.
.:. #Studio explores Frente a Guernica by experimental artists and directors Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi. #Selection brings together some of the most relevant titles of the current film season, while #Classics rediscovers films that have marked the history of cinema and the collective imagination in recent decades.
.:. From July 5 to 14, before the summer break, screenings will continue with the new section #Flashback, which allows to watch or rewatch some movies among the most appreciated by the Cinema Godard public. The program restarts on Friday, 6 September.
