.:. Elpis – the name of the gallery – is a Latin transliteration of the Greek word ἐλπίς, that means
hope. Twenty-seven artist from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan testify to the refreshing meaning of the word and their world, with colours, mirrors, sculptures, photographs, textiles, site-specific installations and a video performance, the latter by
Saodat Ismailova, who is solo exhibited in town at Pirelli HangarBicocca till January 12.
.:. In other words, don't miss the place. It used, by the way, to be part of a wide religious center hidden among a school and several apartment buildings from the Old Milan. So don't be surprised by the church, though currently not longer in operation.
